Integrated Marketing Communication Planning Leader
Key objectives of the role:
Global Integrated Marketing Communication(IMC) Planning Lead will head out the brand SHISEIDO communication planning team that develops premium and purposeful storytelling through seasonal campaigns and design an integrated communication planning that brings sizeable impacts on creative execution and global campaign activations. Newsroom that is a team of strategic PR, content marketing, and influencer marketing for digital and social media will also have a report line to Global IMC Planning Lead so that all consumer facing communication is designed in a strategic way for the entire consumer journey.
Play a significant role in developing the inspirational brand communication inviting our consumers to engage with our brand. Be a main interface with In-house creative team and all partner agencies, and be the engine to drive the entire process from integrated marketing communication planning to delivery.
Work closely with brand and product marketing, media, and creative to align, and come up with one integrated Brand Communications in order to create the emotional connection with our consumers and elevate brand presence in the prestige beauty category.
Understand our target consumer’s insight and behavior in order to develop the great storytelling mainly for seasonal brand campaigns working with in-house creative team and partner agencies. Develop a campaign brief based on the brand brief and brief to creative team and/ or agency to help them develop the best-in-class campaigns that can create strong brand voice among our target consumers.
Main areas of responsibility
Create and direct insightful advertising and content both against category concepts and consumer’s beauty moments.
Contribute to strategic development of advertising plans/creative process within area of focus; connect work with Media managers and Marketing functions to ensure strategic synergy.
Lead the campaign and advertising briefing process, focusing on consumer insights and creative ideas.
Manage multiple project budgets and/or department budget.
Work with in-house creative team and agencies to define deliverables, budgets, and goals; ensure linkage to drive the brand SHISEIDO’s mid-term vision.
Create the voice that makes consumers feel, think and act expresses the heart and soul of the brand
Recommend and execute the placement and mix of vehicles for offline and online advertising to gain maximum impact.
Work with NEWSROOM to maximize campaign outreach and integrate strategic PR, digital and social media execution so that IMC planning can fully support the seasonal campaign activation as well as enhance brand storytelling.

Creative thinker and multi-tasker with impeccable attention to detail
Must have a “roll-up-your-sleeves” and “get it done” mentality, with ability to change direction seamlessly and motivate team members
Ability to communicate both verbally and in written presentation format to business leaders at all levels and influence key stakeholders across the organization
Exceptional interpersonal, organizational and planning skills
At least 10 years' experience in Brand Communication/ Advertising/ PR areas
Strong knowledge in campaign planning process and project management skills
Hybrid experience in traditional and digital area
Strong understanding of PR/ media management
Strong experience in digital marketing and social media strategy that includes social media, influencer, and content marketing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations on complex business issues required
Prestige brand experience preferred
Excellent English skills and Fluent Japanese preferred
